WE REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL LATE MAY

THE FISHERY AND HOLIDAY SITE IS CLOSED AT THE MOMENT. WE AIM TO REOPEN AROUND LATE MAY.
FURTHER UPDATES WILL BE POSTED IN DUE COURSE. YOUR PATIENCE AND KIND SUPPORT IS APPRECIATED.

Business Update

Hi all, we hope you are keeping well and staying safe. Following the latest update on government guidelines, the Fishery will be closed from now till end of April, until the measures are reviewed again. Holiday guests booked in April have already been contacted and we will be in touch again. Really would like to thank everyone for their kind understanding during this time of uncertainty. For guests booked in May & June, we will proceed to contact you soon as we make our way through the calendar list. We will keep the fish well fed so they are fighting fit ready for your next holiday!

Your health and the well-being of our team, family and community are very important to us. Please take all the necessary precautions to protect yourself and others around you. If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to contact us.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH ENGLAND’S ADVISE:

“ Essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. People should remain in their primary residence. Not taking these steps puts additional pressure on communities and services that are already at risk. Stay at home

  • Only go outside for food, health reasons or essential work
  • Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people
  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home

When we reduce our day-to-day contact with other people, we will reduce the spread of the infection. That is why the government is now (23 March 2020) introducing three new measures.

  1. Requiring people to stay at home, except for very limited purposes
  2. Closing non-essential shops and community spaces
  3. Stopping all gatherings of more than two people in public

Every citizen must comply with these new measures. The relevant authorities, including the police, will be given the powers to enforce them – including through fines and dispersing gatherings.

These measures are effective immediately. The Government will look again at these measures in three weeks, and relax them if the evidence shows this is possible.”

March Coronavirus Update

Dear Everyone,

We are writing to provide you with a quick update regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19). Like many others, we at Luccombes have been keeping an eye on the outbreak and its impact on our business, staff and valued customers.

Customers are still booking and we are open for business as long as we can and allowed to, whilst taking every precaution as advised by the government. Being in the Devon countryside, we hope to provide you with a relaxing holiday away from it all, and we feel that natural distancing occurs whilst fishing at Luccombes, spreading anglers over the 5 various ponds.

As part of our effort, we will be increasing the frequency of disinfecting public areas such as the reception, tackle shop/cafe, public toilets and shower block. We ask that everyone onsite, day ticket anglers and holiday makers to wash their hands regularly and give each other some space.

In the caravans, be assured that we will maintain our standard of hygiene and cleanliness with rigorous cleaning and thorough sanitisation with each turnover. Kindly understand that with the recent shortages of certain essential products, we will provide the usual bits to start you off on your holiday: 1 spare toilet roll, 1 kitchen paper & dishwashing liquid, but please remember to bring extras, your own hand soap, toiletries and surface cleaning products to safeguard yourselves during your stay. Additional items can usually be purchased at reception, upon availability.

** Note: No bleach or disposable wipes allowed in the toilet system, sinks and shower drains. Okay to use for surfaces and must disposed of appropriately in the bins provided.

If you or any guests in your party have traveled to high risk countries or been in contact with someone who has contracted the virus, we ask that they take a rain check and follow the government guidelines on self isolation. We also advise that you should have travel insurance for any holiday you book and make sure it gives you appropriate cover just in case you have to cancel. Should it be the government’s decision to impose a stricter travel restriction, lockdown or mandatory shutting of local businesses, we will update you again and perhaps look at the option of postponing your holiday to a later date.

COVID 19 has and will continue to have an impact on all our lives and livelihoods. But we have made it thus far and will do everything we can to ensure we are operating as normal, as much as possible. We will continue to keep an eye on the situation and make further adjustments to our action plan if and when necessary.

Your health and the well-being of our team, family and community are of utmost importance to us. Please take all the necessary precautions to stay safe and if you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,
Dave & Ema
